About The Position

The Department of Geography & the Environment at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Teaching Associate Pool. We welcome applications from current and prospective CSUF graduate students in the Geography & the Environment department to teach in the following subject areas: Intro to Geography Lab and Laboratory sections of upper division majors’ classes, as needed. Teaching Associates will be responsible for regularly meeting with the lab coordinator, lecturing, supervising lab assignments, creating assessments and providing feedback, grading, managing lab materials, holding office hours, and other duties as assigned. This is a pool of Teaching Associates for the department to draw on as necessary. Appointments from the pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants may be offered employment on very short notice.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled or prospective graduate student in the Geography MA program
  • BA degree in Geography or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students
