About The Position

The Teaching Associate Professor is responsible for teaching up to three biology courses per semester (80%), which may include fundamental classes for biology majors such as cell biology and genetics, biodiversity (ecology, evolution, and organismal biology), general biology for non-majors, and advanced biology classes in areas of the candidate’s expertise. The Teaching Associate Professor is also expected to engage in departmental service (20%) and will have opportunities for summer teaching, conducting tutoring and supplemental instruction, and student advising. The position will be for an initial fixed term period of one to three years with potential for renewal.
