About The Position

The Teaching Assistant supports faculty in delivering high-quality instruction through classroom, studio, and course-related activities. Duties vary according to the instructional needs of each course and are established by the supervising faculty member at the beginning of the assignment. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on course, instructor, and departmental needs. The position is designated Federal Work Study Only. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Requirements

Architecture student.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with faculty and students.
Ability to explain concepts clearly and provide guidance in a supportive and professional manner.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
Professionalism, reliability, initiative, and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold academic integrity.

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of the course or demonstrated proficiency in the subject area, when applicable.
Experience with instructional technology, learning management systems, or discipline-specific software.

Responsibilities

Prepare instructional materials.
Attend assigned class sessions.
Assist students during class and studio activities.
Facilitate review sessions.
Provide one-on-one or small-group academic support.
Proctor examinations.
Assist with grading assignments.
Maintain accurate records of work hours and assigned tasks.
Serve as a professional and approachable resource for students and promote a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
Carry out course-specific duties established by the supervising faculty member and other responsibilities assigned according to course, instructor, and departmental needs.
