About The Position

Ohana Pacific Health is seeking passionate Licensed Practical Nurses to provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with established facility policies and procedures. Its vision is to transform how healthcare is provided throughout Hawaii. The role is for the NOC shift, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Two positions are available: one full-time and one part-time. Weekends are required, and flexibility is preferred.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
Experience in geriatrics and familiarity with current nursing standards of practice preferred.
First Aid and CPR preferred; training may be completed in-house.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Take telephone orders from physicians and transcribe them to the medication administration record, physician order sheet, resident chart, and treatment or care plans as appropriate.
Maintain appropriate inventory of residents’ medications and medical stock supplies, and order required medications and treatments from the pharmacy or other suppliers.
Conduct accurate physical assessments of residents, determine their needs, and implement appropriate interventions.
Perform assessments upon admission, transfer, and discharge.
