Teaching Assistant STAT 3P82 Fall D2
About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions for STAT 3P82 Regression Analysis for the Fall D2 term. Compensation for these positions is based on the employee's qualifications. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties required of a Teaching Assistant will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparing seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
- Applicants must be at least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in an STAT DEGREE, or who have completed an STAT DEGREE or equivalent
- The successful applicant must have effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Be punctual in attending classes
- Be able to meet appropriate deadlines
