Teaching Assistant STAT 3P81 Fall D2
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the STAT 3P81 Experimental Design course for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation will be based on the employee's qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Undergraduate rate is $23.30 per hour for those without a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree, and the graduate rate is $36.67 per hour for those with such degrees. Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 80% in the course
- At least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in an STATS DEGREE, or who have completed an STATS DEGREE or equivalent
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Punctual in attending classes
- Able to meet appropriate deadlines
