Teaching Assistant STAT 2P81 Fall D2
About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill existing vacancies for Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator positions for STAT 2P81 in the Fall D2 term. These positions are part of CUPE4207-1. Compensation is based on qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour, effective September 1, 2026. Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties align with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, and include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
- Applicants must be at least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in an STAT DEGREE, or who have completed an STAT DEGREE or equivalent
- The successful applicant must have effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Be punctual in attending classes
- Be able to meet appropriate deadlines
