About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Biology of Cancer – EXMD 504-1 course. The Teaching Assistant will be assigned by the course instructor and will assist the lecturer in setting up presentations, preparing example questions for posting on myCourses, answering student emails, assisting with midterm and final exam preparation, and invigilating midterm and final exams. The estimated number of positions is 1, with a total of 60 hours of work per term.

Requirements

• Only Current Masters or Doctoral student registered at McGill are eligible to apply as Teaching Assistant.
• Must have completed EXMD 504 or equivalent course.
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• All candidates will have to fill out the questionnaire and upload relevant documents (Study permit (if applicable)/Proof of enrollment for Fall 2026 term).
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
• English communication both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist lecturer in setting up the presentation.
• Prepare 3 example questions to be reviewed by coordinator and posted on myCourses at the end of each lecture.
• Answer student emails.
• Assist with midterm and final exam preparation.
• Assist with invigilation of midterm and final exam.
