About The Position
The Department of Medicine, Division of Experimental Medicine is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the course EXMD 521: Computational Methods for Single-cell Data Analytics. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for answering student emails, assisting the instructor in preparing assignments and quizzes, providing solutions for assignments, and grading assignments for approximately 20 students. The role also involves responding to student queries related to these assignments.
Requirements
- Only Current Masters or Doctoral student registered at McGill are eligible to apply as Teaching Assistant.
- More than 1 year of single-cell data analysis experience.
- Have developed more than 1 bioinformatics tool for single-cell data analysis.
- Must have experience in developing machine learning (particularly neural network) methods for single-cell.
- Must have experience in configuring and installing all single-cell genomics tools.
- Proficient in python/R programming
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- All candidates will have to fill out the questionnaire and upload relevant documents (Study permit (if applicable)/Proof of enrollment for Fall 2026 term).
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
- Requires English communication both verbally and in writing.
