About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the course ECON 2P91 BUSINESS ECONOMETRICS WITH APPLICATIONS for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom duties such as preparing seminar material, student consultation, marking, grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. Compensation is based on qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.
Requirements
- Achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
- At least a fourth-year student currently enrolled in an honours program offered by the Department of Economics and in good academic standing or have already completed an equivalent degree
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Punctual in attending classes and regular in-person meetings on campus during normal working hours
- Able to meet appropriate deadlines
