About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for WGST 2P93 (Beauty, Bodies and Cultures) for the Fall D2-1 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation is based on qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. The course may be held virtually online and/or face to face, and the candidate must be able to deliver material in either format.

Requirements

• A completed BA is required.
• Substantial, demonstrable training in women’s and/or gender studies.
• Minimum 80% (GPA) in Women’s and/or Gender Studies courses.
• Knowledge of the course subject matter is required.
• Ability to perform the various duties of the position.
• Must be dependable and have strong time management skills.
• Must be able to deliver course material in either virtual online or face-to-face format.
