Teaching Assistant SPMA 3P08 Fall D2
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the SPMA 3P08 course for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation for Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator positions is based on the employee's qualifications. Undergraduate rates apply to those without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree, while graduate rates apply to those with such degrees. Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- At least a fourth-year student currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Sport Management, or equivalent
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Punctual in attending classes
- Able to meet appropriate deadlines
- Proven track record of working effectively with competent and quick marking turnaround
Nice To Haves
- MA or higher will be given preference
- Preferable to have taken the course with an 80% grade
