Teaching Assistant MATH 3P08 Fall D2
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for MATH 3P08, Advanced Differential Equations, for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation is based on qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The role involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time, including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
- At least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in an MATH DEGREE, or who have completed an MATH DEGREE or equivalent
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Punctual in attending classes
- Able to meet appropriate deadlines
