About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Teaching Assistant for the MATH 2P40 course during the Fall D2 term. Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications the employee holds. Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. Requirements

Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
Applicants must be at least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in an MATH DEGREE, or who have completed an MATH DEGREE or equivalent
The successful applicant must have effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
Be punctual in attending classes
Be able to meet appropriate deadlines
