Teaching Assistant MATH 3P41 Fall D2
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for MATH 3P41 Visual and Interactive Mathematics Through Programming for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group). Compensation will be based on the employee's qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- A minimum of second year complete in the MICA or Mathematics Education stream
- "A" standing in Mathematics courses including Math 1P40 and 2P40 or equivalent knowledge of mathematical modeling and simulation
- Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency in programming in VisualBasic and Maple
- Ability to communicate knowledge effectively to students
- Interest and/or experience in teaching with technology
