Teaching Assistant RECL 3P62 Fall D2-1
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the RECL 3P62 course for the Fall D2-1 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for Teaching Assistant positions is based on the employee's qualifications, with different rates for those holding a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree compared to those who do not. Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking, proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
- At least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in Recreation and Leisure Studies, or who have completed a RECL degree or equivalent
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Punctual in attending classes
- Able to meet appropriate deadlines
