This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Teaching Assistant in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course PSYC 2P92 Health Psychology for the Fall D2-1 term. Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $23.30 per hour. Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $36.67 per hour. In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. Ordinarily, teaching assistants will lead either 2 seminars, in the case of a 120-hour appointment, or 3 seminars in the case of a 180-hour appointment. Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement, and may include attending lectures and TA meetings, preparation of seminar materials, proctoring and grading assignments, tests and examinations, holding office hours, answering student emails, maintaining accurate records, helping students overcome difficulties, and other related duties as assigned by the Instructor.
