Teaching Assistant EDUC 3P65 Fall D2
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the EDUC 3P65 course during the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. Compensation for Teaching Assistant positions is based on qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Honours BA or Honours BSc
- Previous successful teaching experience at the postsecondary level
- Background in Sociology of Education, Equity Studies, or Multicultural Curriculum Studies
- Experience developing and implementing educational initiatives to promote social justice
