Teaching Assistant EDUC 4P39 Fall D2
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the EDUC 4P39 course during the Fall D2 term. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. Teaching Assistant positions are paid according to qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour. Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate of $36.67 per hour. Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Honours BA, Honours BSc, or an Honours degree in a related field
- B.Ed (P/J, J/I, or I/S)
- Previous successful teaching experience teaching French (Core or Immersion) in an Ontario public school
- Speaks and writes fluently in French
- Successfully completed EDUC 4P39
