About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the ADST 5P73 course in St. Catharines for the Fall D10 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications the employee holds. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. The mode of delivery for this course is planned to be primarily in-person with a portion of additional synchronous and asynchronous online instruction. The selected candidate will be expected to deliver course material in the required format and planned schedule.

Requirements

  • Completed undergraduate degree and previous completion of ADST 5P73 with >85 grade.
  • Demonstrated relevant Graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or Behavioural Psychology.
  • Demonstrated experience in ABA.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet agreed upon deadlines.
  • Available to attend in ST.CATHARINES and/or attend online synchronous and asynchronous course support – weekday/evenings/weekend.
  • Experience using Brightspace or other learning management systems.
  • Experience using video conferencing platforms (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams)
  • Available for in person, online, email and phone office hours during the week.

  • Previous experience in teaching principles of ABA to graduate or undergraduate students and/or clinical staff members
