About The Position

Under the supervision and in collaboration with the course coordinators, the teaching assistants will help engage and teach nursing students on Legal, Ethical, and Professional Practice Issues by reviewing course content, leading in-person workshops, participating in student evaluation, and implementing the course plan as developed. The TA’s are available for student questions and may support the course coordinator with office hours. Attendance and facilitation of in-person workshops is expected. Support for grading workshop reports is expected. The TA must therefore be available at the scheduled class time in the morning for 3 specific dates: Friday September 19th, Friday October 31st, and Friday November 28th.

Requirements

  • Current Masters or Doctoral student at McGill.
  • Health care ethics training & knowledge expected.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate teaching experience is preferred and an asset.
  • Previous experience as a TA.
  • Bilingual in French & English an asset.
  • Facilitation experience in workshops & discussions.
  • Aptitudes in managing technology an asset.
