About The Position

AoPS Academy is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Math, Language Arts, and/or Science Teaching Assistants for their summer camp sessions. This role involves supporting instructors with curriculum, working one-on-one with students, assisting with classroom management for up to 16 students, and helping with grading and feedback. The position is ideal for those passionate about fostering student learning, critical thinking, and academic curiosity in an engaging and collaborative environment.

Requirements

Must be 16 years old or older.
Possess strong Math, Language Arts and/or Science skills with the ability to help students navigate advanced concepts.
Exceptional written and spoken communication.
Positive and encouraging attitude that helps students feel comfortable asking questions.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Candidates must be located in Princeton, NJ or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.

Nice To Haves

Experience with/interest in working with younger students strongly preferred.
Familiarity with the AoPS curriculum is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist instructors with company-created curriculum and materials.
Help advanced students grasp complex concepts.
Work one-on-one with students during class activities and provide additional help.
Help maintain an organized learning environment.
Assist in managing up to 16 students.
Assist with grading and providing constructive feedback on student work.
Connect with students and staff members to encourage their learning journey and academic growth.
Help create an environment that promotes critical thinking and academic curiosity.
