About The Position
The Department of Mathematics, in the Eberly College of Science, has a vacancy available for an undergraduate Teaching Assistant to act as a peer assistant for Math Lab (MATH 197) and to assist with grading and other aspects of course delivery during the Fall 2026 semester. The selected candidate will work up to 5 hours per week.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in recreational mathematics
Responsibilities
- Assist students in peer instruction during class Tuesday 1:25-2:15 pm or Thursday 10:25-11:15 am
- Participate in weekly instructional team meetings
- Grade students' assignments and assist with course delivery in Canvas
- Hold supplemental out-of-class student support hours
