About The Position

This course will, among other objectives, introduce students to legal, ethical and policy scholarship in human genetics and related “omics” disciplines. The Teaching Assistant will help in reviewing student commentaries, present to students on an assigned topic, meet with them, help evaluate presentations, organize documents on MyCourses and correct research essays.

Requirements

  • Strong background in the ethical, legal and policy issues in genomics, with emphasis on interdisciplinarity.
  • A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student at the Master’s or Doctoral level, at McGill University, employed to assist a course coordinator.
  • Only registered McGill students can be hired as TAs
  • Must apply as either internal or external, based on current status in Workday (at McGill).
  • Internal Candidates: Must log into the VPN before logging into Workday. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is mandatory for VPN use.
  • External Candidates: A McGill Graduate Student that has held previous jobs/contracts at the university and currently does not have an active job in Workday > applies as an External Candidate.
  • All candidates will have to fill out the questionnaire and upload relevant documents.
