Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in a related Health Science or Social Science discipline
- Advanced - Organizational skills
- Advanced - Counseling skills
- Ability to establish/maintain effective working internal/external relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated approaches to problem solving w/strong decision-making capability
- Ability to self-teach
- Strong knowledge in clinical genetics, molecular biology and genomic technology
- Current knowledge of Genetics
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal/consultative relationships
- Knowledge of current trends/issues/best practice strategies
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one year (1) experience in Genetics, is an asset
Responsibilities
- Ability to collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately
- Ability to read and interpret genetic reports to assist with data capture
- Ability to follow safe work practices
- Ability to competently use computers and software applications
