Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in a related Health Science or Social Science discipline
  • Advanced - Organizational skills
  • Advanced - Counseling skills
  • Ability to establish/maintain effective working internal/external relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated approaches to problem solving w/strong decision-making capability
  • Ability to self-teach
  • Strong knowledge in clinical genetics, molecular biology and genomic technology
  • Current knowledge of Genetics
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal/consultative relationships
  • Knowledge of current trends/issues/best practice strategies

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year (1) experience in Genetics, is an asset

  • Ability to collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately
  • Ability to read and interpret genetic reports to assist with data capture
  • Ability to follow safe work practices
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications
