About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the Research Approaches in Health Biosciences course (HSS3109A) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves assisting the professor with marking assignments and exams, proctoring exams, and potentially holding online office hours to address student inquiries. The course is offered online, and the TA will need to have access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam. This contract includes hours for supervision and correction of the final exam. Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent
- Very good English writing skills to accurately mark essays and long answers on exams
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam
Responsibilities
- Help with marking of assignments and exams
- Proctoring of exams
- Hold online office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times
