This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the Moral Reasoning (PHI1102, Section B00) course during the Fall 2026 semester. The course is in-person and has an expected enrollment of 150 students. The role involves supporting the teacher by grading homework, essays, and tests, and may include other duties such as attending lectures, consulting with students, and proctoring, as per Article 4.3.1 of the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. There are 2 positions available, with a total of 72.75 work hours per position. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Undergraduate students will be paid at a rate of $31.89/hour, and graduate students at $50.25/hour (2024-2025 rates), exclusive of vacation and statutory pay. These rates are subject to change pending a new collective agreement ratification, with retroactivity applied after ratification. The language of work is English.
