About The Position

This is a Teaching Assistant position for the CHIMIE MÉTAUX TRANSITION course (BPS3750/CHM3750) in the Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences. The role involves assisting students in the laboratory and elsewhere, correcting lab reports, quizzes, midterms, and final exams, supervising quizzes and midterms, giving DGDs (tutorials), correcting assignments, and proctoring the final exam. Some sections may be bilingual. The position is for the Fall 2026 semester and requires a total of 90 work hours.

Requirements

• Must have successfully completed one year of general chemistry.
• Must have successfully completed one year of organic chemistry.
• Must have successfully completed a 4000-level inorganic chemistry course or equivalent.
• Must have successfully completed workshops on the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
• All persons who are not graduate students in chemistry must pass a qualifying test.
