About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the Methods of Health Technology Assessment course (HSS4108A) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves assisting the professor with various tasks related to the course, including grading assignments and exams, proctoring exams, and potentially holding office hours to address student inquiries. The course is offered in a hybrid format, requiring the TA to have access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam, and to come to campus occasionally. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent
- Very good English writing skills to accurately mark essays and long answers on exams
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam
- Ability to come to campus occasionally
Responsibilities
- Help with correction of the assignments and exams
- Proctoring of exams
- Hold in-person or online office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times
