About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the course HSS6104 Section A, Quantitative Research Methods and Analysis in Health Sciences, during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves assisting the professor with marking assignments and exams, proctoring exams, and potentially holding office hours to address student inquiries. The course is offered in a hybrid format, requiring the TA to have access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam, with occasional on-campus presence required. This contract includes hours for supervision and marking of the final exam. Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent
- Very good English writing skills to accurately mark essays and long answers on assessments
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
- Experience conducting quantitative research
- Experience with quantitative data analysis and associated management software
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam
- Ability to come to campus occasionally
Responsibilities
- Help with marking of assignments and exams
- Proctoring of exams
- Hold office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times
