About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for POL2101 C00, Introduction to Canadian Politics, for the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves various responsibilities such as teaching assistance, leading discussion groups, marking papers and exams, and holding office hours for students. The student must meet deadlines set by the supervisor and attend lectures if requested. The teaching method will be delivered in person, requiring some work to be done on campus. Requirements

  • Priority will be given to candidates in accordance with articles 18.5 and 18.6 of the CUPE collective agreement.
  • Students must be available to travel to the University of Ottawa campus in Ottawa at the request of their supervisor and/or the School.
  • All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
  • If invited to continue the selection process, notify of any particular adaptive measures that might be required.
  • The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
