About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for POL2103: Introduction to International Relations and Global Politics, Section C00, during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves various responsibilities including teaching assistance, leading discussion groups, marking papers and exams, and holding office hours for students. The student must meet deadlines set by the supervisor and attend lectures if requested. The teaching method will be delivered in a distance teaching format, though this may change. The student must be available to travel to the University of Ottawa campus if requested. All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process is governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

Priority will be given to candidates in accordance with articles 18.5 and 18.6 of the CUPE collective agreement.
Students must be available to travel to the University of Ottawa campus in Ottawa at the request of their supervisor and/or the School.
Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
Must be an undergraduate or graduate student.
