About The Position

This is a specific course posting for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor role within the Faculty of Engineering, Unit EECS_ST, for the course Computer Architecture I (CEG2136B, Section B). The position is for the 2026 Fall Semester and involves preparing and testing lab experiments, exercises, and assignments, assisting students with labs, assignments, and theory, preparing and delivering tutorials, presenting demonstrations, marking assignments, lab reports, and quizzes, and offering consultation hours and answering student emails. The role also includes proctoring examinations and/or quizzes. The teaching method will be delivered in person. The number of positions and hours offered may vary based on final course enrollments. All university employees must complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will be governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or its equivalent and its prerequisite(s) with a mark of A or better.
Attend a TA workshop if necessary.
Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position.
If the responsibilities include DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision or teaching, the applicant must be available for all of these.
Excellent knowledge of computer architecture.
Hands-on experience with Altera Quartus II and FPGA.
Good knowledge of VHDL and assembly language.
Must demonstrate clear ability to explain complex concepts.
Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
