This position is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) for the course SRS1510 A00, "Magie, sorcellerie et tradition occultes" (Magic, Witchcraft and the Occult Tradition). The role involves a combination of tasks including grading, attending in-class and/or online classes, consulting with students in person and/or online, and proctoring exams. The number of hours or positions may vary based on enrollment, which is expected to be 280 students. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Undergraduate students will be paid at a lower rate, while graduate students will receive a higher rate. These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid thereafter. All university employees must complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
