About The Position

The Teaching Assistant (TA) will be responsible for supervising students in a laboratory setting for 6 hours per week. This position is for the Molecular Biology Laboratory (BCH3356, Section LAB) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The TA will work under the supervision of Luc Poitras. The role involves direct contact with students and requires successful completion of mandatory training. The hiring process will adhere to the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

• Bachelor in Biochemistry or equivalent.
• Experimental knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques.
• Successful completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops.
• All those who are not a graduate student will be required to write a test to qualify.

Responsibilities

• Supervising students in a 6-hours/week laboratory.
• Providing contact with students.
• Completing mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
• Potentially combining 2 units of 65h.
