About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the CMN1148-B00 course, Introduction to Organizational Communication, during the 2026 Fall Semester. The position is for the Faculty of Arts, Department of Communication. The total work hours for this position are 105, with an expected enrollment of 220 students. The work is to be performed in person on the Main Campus. The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate in Communication or related field.
- Must be a CUPE 2626 member or eligible for membership.
- Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.

- Graduate student status (for higher hourly rate).
Responsibilities
- Correcting assignments and exams.
- Attending lectures in class and/or online.
- Consulting in person and/or online with individual students.
- Proctoring exams.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor, totaling 105 hours.
