Teaching Assistant - BMDE 508 - Introduction to Micro and Nano-Bioengineering
About The Position
The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for updating and preparing teaching modules and slides for the Introduction to Micro and Nano-Bioengineering course (BMDE 508). This includes identifying relevant material, preparing slides, and incorporating examples from current literature. The TA will also coordinate invited lectures, answer student questions regarding homework, animate online discussion sessions, and assist with weekly assignments and tests. Additionally, the TA will conduct remote or in-person sessions to answer student questions and help prepare, manage, and conduct evaluations.
Requirements
- Only registered graduate McGill students can be hired as TAs.
- Must have previously taken and passed BMDE 508.
- Effective communication skills in English are essential.
Responsibilities
- Update and prepare teaching modules and slides by identifying relevant material, preparing slides, and adding examples taken from the current literature.
- Coordinate the invited lectures (3-4 lessons).
- Answer student questions for the homework.
- Animate the online discussion sessions.
- Answer students questions for the preparation of their weekly assignment and tests.
- Conduct remote or in person sessions to answer student questions and help prepare, manage and conduct some evaluations.
