About The Position

Teachers at 51st Peoria KinderCare implement the company’s curriculum to meet each child’s unique needs and create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn. They partner with parents to provide quality care and education and work with center staff and leadership to support goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement. The role also involves building positive relationships with families, colleagues, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. KinderCare offers career investment and support, with teachers contributing directly to children’s education and families’ experiences.

Requirements

Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or be willing to obtain them.
Have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
Have outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational skills.
Be able to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
Be physically able to lift at least 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
Be able to assume low-level postures for physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
Be able to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
