KIPP St. Louis is hosting an On-the-Spot Hiring Day for teaching positions. This event provides an opportunity for qualified candidates to interview directly with school leaders and potentially receive a same-day job offer. KIPP St. Louis is part of a national network of free, open-enrollment, public charter schools committed to providing excellent education and preparing students for future success. The network currently educates over 2,000 students and will expand to educate nearly 3,600 students at full growth, with grades ranging from PreK-12th. KIPP St. Louis believes in the power of its educators to inspire students and foster a love of learning. The organization supports its teachers in helping students achieve academic excellence and build the confidence needed for success. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related content area.
  • Valid Missouri Teacher Certification.
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving outcomes for historically underserved students.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • For Special Education Teachers: K-12 Cross Categorical/ Mid Mod certification.
  • For Long-Term Substitute Teachers: Missouri Substitute Certification.
  • For Long-Term Substitute Teachers: Experience substituting or working with youth.

Nice To Haves

  • 60 college credits for Long-Term Substitute Teachers.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned grade level and subject matter.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with school leaders and colleagues.
