About The Position

Teachers at Skyrise School of Portland implement KinderCare’s curriculum in a way that meets each child’s unique needs and create safe, nurturing environments where children can play and learn. They partner with parents to provide high-quality care and education, and work with center staff and leadership to support goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement. Teachers also build positive relationships with families, colleagues, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. Requirements

Outstanding customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
Meet state-specific qualifications for the role.
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
Ability to work indoors or outdoors.
Ability to assume low-level postures to maintain physical and visual contact with children.
Ability to see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with them.
Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
