About The Position

Assistant Teachers at Skyrise School of North Decatur support children’s learning and development by implementing KinderCare’s curriculum in a way that meets each child’s needs and creating a safe, nurturing environment for play and learning. They partner with parents to provide high-quality care and education, work with center staff and leadership toward goals involving enrollment, accreditation, and engagement, and build positive relationships with families, licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. The role requires communicating in English with children and parents, keeping children safe, and participating in physical activity with them. The listed pay is $15.65 per hour. Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role.
• Have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Be able to assume low-level postures to maintain physical and visual contact with children.
• Be able to see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with children.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
