About The Position

The Teacher V is the leader of the teaching team in an early childhood classroom. The role is responsible for the overall development and implementation of the classroom education program and for keeping the classroom compliant with state licensing requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards. This position is at The Prep Academy at Harrison County Community Center in Cynthiana, Kentucky, and is offered as full-time or part-time work. The posted salary is $14.37 per hour.

Requirements

• CDA in the appropriate area, Infant/Toddler.
• Experience in early childhood classroom management, curriculum planning, and record-keeping.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desired.
• Experience with computers is highly desired.
• Preferred degree fields include interdisciplinary early childhood education, early childhood special education, early childhood education, early childhood development, elementary education (P-5), childcare assistant, child development services, and individual and family studies.
• Related degree fields include psychology, sociology, art therapy, child life, elementary education, nursing, speech therapy, counseling, human services, human services administration or program administration, nursery school teacher, university or general studies with an emphasis in early childhood, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
