About The Position

LearnWell is seeking a full-time teacher for the school year at a behavioral health facility in Somerville, Massachusetts. The teacher provides academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients receiving treatment in a small classroom setting, typically serving 8 to 15 students at a time. The position requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Massachusetts teaching license.
• Comfort working with K–12 students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Provide individualized academic assistance to students.
• Communicate about student progress as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to support student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
