About The Position

Science Academies of New York’s Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Charter School is hiring a Teacher Partner for grades K–2 for the 2026–2027 school year in Syracuse, New York. The role supports teachers and students in a school environment that welcomes both new and experienced teachers.

The Teacher Partner assists with preparation and instruction, works with small student groups and provides intervention, and helps implement classroom policies and procedures. The position also involves participating in weekly meetings and school-wide events, escorting students to and from specials and lunch, and managing student behavior. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Fingerprint clearance through the New York State Department of Education.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience with a diverse population of students or in an urban setting is a plus.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred; novice teachers are encouraged to apply.
