Substitute Teacher Pool 2026-2027 School Year
About The Position
Vista Unified School District is recruiting substitute teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. Substitute assignments include day-to-day coverage, long-term assignments, district-assigned daily roving substitute work, and special education assignments. Current rates are $200 per day for day-to-day assignments (excluding retired VUSD teachers), $210 per day for long-term assignments beginning after the 10th consecutive school day in the same assignment (including retired VUSD teachers from day one), $200 per day for district substitute assignments, and $235 per day for special education assignments. Applicants must hold a valid California credential or a 30-day Substitute Teacher Permit. Applications must include three reference letters, a resume, and a letter of interest or introduction addressed to Rachel D'Ambroso.
