Teacher Aide - Child Care
About The Position
The Teacher Aide - Child Care position in the Healthy Moms department at Rochester Regional Health System is responsible for assisting the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all children. This role involves creating a supportive environment for children's growth and development, fostering positive relationships with children and families, and guiding children's behavior in an age-appropriate and positive manner. The aide will also participate in staff meetings, meet the individual needs of children, attend annual training, communicate with families, and ensure the safety and health of the children.
Requirements
- One year of work experience with small children preferred
Responsibilities
- Assists the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all of the children.
- Assists in creating an environment that supports children's growth and development.
- Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all of the children and their families.
- Effectively guides children's behavior in an age appropriate and positive manner.
- Constructively participates in staff meetings and meetings with supervisor.
- Meets the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural needs of individual children.
- Attends 15 hours of training every year.
- Communicates appropriately with families regarding childrens daily activities both verbally and written as needed.
- Ensures the safety of the children and promotes good health habits.
