Requirements

Associate’s degree in Child Development or equivalent experience required.
Strong working knowledge of childcare and development.
Annual Universal Precautions training.
First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Mandatory child abuse training class.
Creativity, compassion, and professionalism are a must.
Fun and enthusiastic attitude required.
Exceptional patience and ability to remain calm at all times.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, especially relating to children.
Constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
Excellent creativity used in developing children's programs.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree.
Prior experience in a child-care setting.

Responsibilities

Nurture and care for an assigned group of children each day
Design fun, developmentally appropriate activities and learning centers
Support emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth
Observe, document, and celebrate children’s progress
Build strong, positive relationships with parents and caregivers
Keep classrooms clean, safe, and full of energy and creativity
Follow licensing regulations, program guidelines, and best practices
Participate in ongoing learning, staff collaboration, and professional development
