About The Position

The Institute for a Disaster Resilient Texas (IDRT) at Texas A&M University is seeking an Associate Program Director to guide the Texas Disaster Information System (TDIS), IDRT’s statewide disaster-data and decision-support platform. This management and strategic leadership role will assist with the overall management, strategic direction, and long-term sustainability of TDIS as it moves from initial development toward sustained operations, wider adoption, and program growth. The position oversees deliverables and project management across TDIS applications, supports business development to sustain the program beyond current grant funding, and serves as a key contact for stakeholder engagement, user feedback, and awareness-building. Under general direction, the Associate Program Director manages and coordinates TDIS operations, works with technical leads and application owners to align deliverables with grant and contract obligations, and helps develop program procedures, strategic plans, and performance measures. The position also leads stakeholder engagement and outreach, coordinates program staff and consultants, and supports budget, contract, grant, and expenditure oversight. The position is grant funded, so future employment may be contingent upon future funding. Travel may be required.
