About The Position

The TBM Foreman coordinates and develops the project’s equipment maintenance program and has overall supervisory responsibility for planning, coordinating, and reviewing TBM maintenance operations. The role assists management with final equipment budgets and potential purchases to help meet budgetary goals.

The foreman prepares, submits, reviews, and updates procedures, method statements, and shop drawings; implements them; and oversees remedial measures when specified limits are approached or exceeded. The position protects tunnel-work facilities and other project elements, including operations in TBM launching and receiving shafts and at the surface, to support safety, quality, contract conformance, timely completion, and accurate work records. The foreman enforces site safety and coordinates with other TBM production engineers and TBM Tunnel Superintendents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) construction.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• Project experience with a Slurry TBM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, review, and modify or update procedures, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Implement procedures, method statements, and shop drawings, and oversee remedial measures when specified limits are approached or exceeded.
• Maintain working knowledge of applicable project codes and standards.
• Protect facilities and other elements of the tunnel works, including operations in TBM launching and receiving shafts and at the surface, to ensure safety, quality, contract conformance, timely completion, and accurate work records.
• Enforce site safety at all times.
• Coordinate with other TBM production engineers and TBM Tunnel Superintendents.
