About The Position

This is a six-week Summer Internship programme designed to provide interns with hands-on experience in the Tax practice at BDO. The programme offers the chance to learn by doing, work with clients, and build experience alongside supportive colleagues. BDO is a large organisation in the UK mid-market, providing access to significant clients, expertise, and career opportunities. The internship begins with a paid, three-day induction in Coventry, followed by placement in the applicant's chosen office for the remainder of the six weeks. The Tax practice covers 13 specialist areas and works with a range of clients from FTSE 100 companies to start-ups. Interns will gain practical experience, develop technical and analytical skills, and explore different areas of Tax. Successful completion may lead to an offer to return after graduation, providing a direct route into a graduate programme. The programme also includes workshops on BDO's values, culture, and wellbeing, alongside opportunities to try new things and build confidence.

Requirements

Be a second-year student on a four-year undergraduate degree, seeking a third-year work placement.
A minimum 2:2 degree in any discipline (obtained or predicted).
Three A-levels or equivalent at grades A-C (excluding General Studies and Extended Projects) or four Scottish Advanced Highers at grade A-B.
GCSEs at grade 4 and above in Maths and English, or Scottish National 5 grade A-C.
The right to work in the UK.
Must be able to commit to the full six-week duration.
Must live within a commutable distance of the office applied to.
